I found this second book in this series much tighter, the prose richer, and the character development stronger. There are some familiar characters in Brigitte's Cross, but some new characters as well. I found myself liking the main character, Olivia, more in this book than in the first book. It's also worth noting that while the series focuses on lesbian relationships almost exclusively, the average "straight" reader isn't going to find that off-putting. I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on reading a really entertaining book because they thought it was focused on a single demographic. Anyone who enjoys vampires, female energy, and New Orleans is going to enjoy this adventure through the shadows of the United States most fascinating city with a cast of characters who all have their own agendas, and their own desires.Product details

Didn't like the weakened character of Olivia.

Worth a few hours of time. Interesting genre and fascinating, memorable characters. Glad the author developed this into a series.
